"Hi there, my name is Rachel and I work as a children and young people’s counsellor for Creative Minds. I practice at Children North East too. In my sessions I aim to provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental, understanding and nurturing environment where my clients can begin to feel comfortable, listened to and free to express themselves and get in touch with what’s going on for them. I tailor my approach to work with the unique personality of each child/young person and their needs. Mainly I work in a person centred way which supports the client to gain awareness of their feelings and work through things gently at their pace. I love to bring art, creativity and play into the sessions as a way to assist in the
therapeutic process."
