New Weekly Workshops

We are delighted to announce that come the new year we will be delivering weekly workshops for children aged 4 - 11 years old, with the opportunity for parents and carers to be involved. This is with the aim to provide necessary bonding time between caregivers and children in a therapeutic setting.

The workshops will combine counselling, Theraplay and play therapy which will help with developing secure attachments, boost resilience, help to regulate emotions, encourage healthy relationships and support mental health and wellbeing.

Theraplay is a child and family therapy which helps to build and enhance attachments, boosts self-esteem, encourages trust in others, and involves joyful engagement. It is personal, physical, and fun and can be enjoyed by all ages, adults too!

By combining Theraplay techniques alongside counselling and play therapy, we hope to be able to deliver a workshop that is unique, accessible for all backgrounds and abilities and that involves techniques that everyone can relate to.

The sessions will run once a week with parent sessions alternating each week. For example, one week will run for children only, with the following week running for caregiver and child. This is in hope to build a secure attachment between parents/carers and children, especially for those with separation anxiety.

The sessions are designed for children with attachment issues and anxieties which can, at times, be complex and will therefore be limited to 6 children/families each session.

Thank you to The Hays Travel Foundation, these sessions will run for FREE and will be reviewed in May 2020.

Although the sessions are free, they will still require a booking system so booking is essential to secure spaces. A cancellation fee will also apply if less than 24 hours notice is given as we expect these workshops to be popular.

Keep a look out for more information on dates and times and be sure to get in touch to book your space 😊

Thank you for reading
